Today we talked about saving money. This has been a hot topic for a lot of people I’ve interacted with lately. I unpacked the three reasons for saving money, how there aren’t very many unexpected expenses in our lives, and where to find more money for savings.
Andrew wrote in a question asking where to keep his emergency fund and I detailed my strategy for Emergency Funds and Sweep Funds.

Hey Derek. Just wanted to say thanks fro another great show and also thanks for the personal attention you give to each caller, emailer and to all of us in the chat. I think that's one thing that really stands out about you and Justin. You guys always make the time to interact with each person listening in on you show. To me that shows passion and caring for all people.
Thanks guys and keep up the great work.
Archie
Hey Archie – you're one of the folks that makes doing our shows so much fun! I remember growing up listening to different musicians and they always said how much they loved their fans. I used to think, “How is that possible – can you really love all those people?”
The most powerful realization I've had about all the folks that follow us is that we're all connected out of a desire to live very purposeful, intentional lives – with our money and our careers. That you and others have bought into what we're doing makes me feel so honored and blessed. So, I get it now – I LOVE our friends and fans!
I'll always do my best to bring the personal touch – that is what makes what I'm doing a whole lot of fun!
Thanks, Archie!
