Today I got on my soapbox to address those who believe they can improve their situation with little or no effort. Sorry, it can’t be done. Anything worthwhile will require hard work, discipline, and personal responsibility. Those attributes aren’t always the most popular – especially when we look at our personal finances – but when so many in our country are broke, I’m not concerned about doing things the popular way.
Guest host Justin Lukasavige (host of CoachRadio.tv) and I discuss choices we’ve made to improve our financial and career positions, recognizing that hard work and sacrifice were an essential component. We also discuss a conversation I had with a couple who desperately needed to change their financial situation, but were unwilling to do the work.
Today’s mentionables:
It’s NOT about the Numbers; previous Past Due Radio show
“Mad as hell…” scene from Network (careful: there’s a little bit of bad language)
Fortune lists SAS Institute as the #1 place to work! (I teach our Past Due: Money & Life Boot Camp to their employees!)
